SINGLE FAMILY HOMES First Quarter 2008 compared to First Quarter 2007

This market analysis summarizes real estate sales activity in and around Santa Fe during the first quarter of 2008, and compares it to the same period during 2007.

The number of single family homes sold declined in all areas.  Likewise, we have started to see declines in average and median sale prices in most areas analyzed.  Although Old Las Vegas Corridor shows a decline in average sale price of 44%, this is because of one very expensive home sale in the area during 2007.  Additionally, the large increase in average and median home sale prices in Tesuque is explained by two very expensive home sales during the first quarter of this year.
